Rosemaling has been a traditional art form in Norway for hundreds of years. It features colorful, fanciful flowers and scrolls painted on wall, furniture and wooden items used in the home. Distinctive regional styles developed in the isolated mountain calleys of Norway. These include Hallingdal, Telemark, Rogaland, Valdres, Vest Agder, Gudbrandsdal, Os I Hordaland and Rococo.
