What are Runes?
Runes are an ancient alphabet that was used by pre-Christian Anglo-Saxon, Germanic, and Norse peoples over three thousand years ago.Runes are symbolic of physical objects (horses, cattle, water) and abstract concepts (fertility, protection, need). The oldest and most familiar today is the Elder or Common made up of twenty-four symbols.
